In April of this year, Nest Bank became the first bank in Poland to introduce an AI Assistant into its mobile app. As previously announced, the N!Assistant will be gradually developed to allow Nest Bank customers to perform more operations using artificial intelligence. As of September, N!Assistant helps initiate transfers, responds to voice commands, and can schedule appointments with client advisors. Additionally, the assistant now not only analyzes finances but also presents them in a clear graphical format.
Advanced technologies serving customers
N!Assistant is a virtual assistant powered by generative artificial intelligence, available in the Nest Bank mobile app for select customers. It operates using the GPT-4o model and is supported by Microsoft Azure OpenAI services, giving it access not only to an AI knowledge base but also to the bank’s terms, fees, and product information. Customers can communicate with the assistant in natural language, making it capable of understanding complex queries and providing simple, clear answers.
N!Assistant now available for business clients
After the success of the AI assistant for individual clients, the tool is now available in a pilot phase for business clients. N!Assistant understands business context, helps analyze company revenues and expenses, and prepares useful summaries, including graphical ones. It considers not only the main account but also has access to all products: additional accounts, cards, deposits, loans, savings accounts, and transaction histories. This allows N!Assistant to provide comprehensive analysis by taking into account any product requested by the client.
Voice commands and AI-initiated transfers now available
In its latest version, N!Assistant responds to voice commands. Next to the text input field, users will find a microphone icon—clicking it activates the voice-to-text feature, enabling voice-based commands. As part of the update, Nest Bank has also introduced a feature allowing users to initiate transfers via N!Assistant. After issuing a voice command, the assistant prepares the transfer form, fills it with the client’s provided data, and then the client verifies and authorizes the transfer through their preferred method.
Conversation history with N!Assistant at your fingertips
Another new feature of N!Assistant is conversation history. With this, customers can pause a conversation and resume it at any time to continue where they left off.
All new features are available from September 6 in version 3.18 of the Nest Bank mobile app for iOS and Android systems.
What’s next for N!Assistant users?
Janusz Mieloszyk, the First Vice President of Nest Bank, emphasizes the importance of N!Asystent as a key project that introduces clients to a new era of AI-driven banking. 'We believe that AI has the potential to completely transform how we use banking services, redefining existing functionalities. Our priority is the continuous development of the assistant, taking into account customer needs while ensuring their privacy. Our main focus is to advance self-service functions using AI,' says Janusz Mieloszyk.
The bank announces the gradual rollout of additional functionalities. In addition to improving invoice payment through photos, the app will also include enhanced security features and more categories in financial reports, significantly improving their accuracy and usability.
